60th Wedding Anniversary Celebration A Success!

Last Saturday we celebrated Mom and Dad's 60th Wedding Anniversary with an Open House.  We had more than 60 guests, plenty of food, fellowship, beautiful weather, a video/slide presentation set to music, a hard cover book with precious photos of family and friends and parents who felt well, having the time of their lives.  All in all, everything went smoothly thanks to our wonderful friends, Tami, Connie and Dave!  The candy bar was well received.  The chocolate fountain was so much fun!  Thanks to Lisa for her beautiful Candy Glassware.  My friend Gloria helped in  so many ways.  I am so grateful for all the help we received.  It would not have been a celebration without all the wonderful people who came to honor Mom and Dad on their special day.

Birthday and Christmas Wishes

Here's a card you can use for a Birthday during the Autumn Season.  Spice Cake Designer Paper was used as a backdrop for the focal point.  Some of the details are as follows:

I'm excited to present this card as the second project.  The Mocha Morning Designer Series Specialty Paper is a dream!  You can't fully appreciat how beautiful this paper is until you see it in person and touch it!  I made this card with the following supplies:

Family Ties

We've got so many blessings when it comes to family.  Here's an opportunity to scrap photos of family and count your blessings.  The colors are Black, Cherry  Cobbler and Very Vanilla.  The Designer Paper is Timeless Portrait.  I've used the Bitty Envelope Die, Tree Die, the Fancy Flower and Decorative Label Punches.   The glimmer black brad jazzes it up a bit.  Title...check.  Journaling...check.  Room for photos...check!  Done.

Thanks for looking.  We'll be doing this one tomorrow night in my Scrapbooking Class.

Pumpkin Patch Page with a Scare Crow and a Crow

This page has evolved into something a little more like the card we will be making on Monday next week.  While I was preparing for the card class I thought maybe the Scare crow and Crow would look good on the scrapbook page.  Here you have it!  I think it turned out quite nice.  Lots of punch art here!  Hope you like it!  You'll find a couple of close ups of the Scare Crow and the Crow below.

Celebrations!

Here's the Announcement in the Fresno Bee today, Sunday, October 10, 2011 about Mom and Dad's Anniversary!  We will be celebrating on October 22nd with an Open House.  I'm busy sending out invitations and making plans for the grand celebration.  We're just praying for great health for both Mom and Dad for that day especially!  This was published on page B2.  I think it turned out pretty nice.  You don't celebrate 60 years of marriage every day.  Mom is writing a book about how the Lord has blessed and shown Himself faithful in so many ways in their lives.  To God be the Glory!

It's official.  We're going to celebrate Mom and Dad's 60th Wedding Anniversary on October 22nd.  Now that's exciting!  We're going to have an open house for them.  I've got some surprises for them done already.  Now I've got to get the invitations out and get serious about the menu and the program.  I'm so glad we get to do this for them.  They are wonderful parents.  I'll share some pictures of the party later.  The announcement of their anniversary with a photo will be in the Fresno Bee this Sunday, October 9th.
