Oh Christmas Tree
Today we met for a Specialty Christmas Card Class. This is just one of the three cards that we made. This is one is quite elegant. Here are some of the details...
Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Basic Black
Paper: Newsprint Specialty Paper, Silver Glimmer Paper
Ink: Craft Black
Misc: Northern Flurry Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Stars #2 Die, Clear Embossing Powder
Paper Folding: Cut the four squares measuring 3", 2 1/2", 2" and 1 1/2" from the Newsprint DSP
With the right side down, fold diagonally corner to corner forming a triangle. Unfold and repeat the other way. Then fold in half forming a rectangle both ways. Use a bone folder to get crisp creases. Unfold. Fold paper in half by creasing the diagonal folds and pushing the half fold towards the center. This creates another triangle. Then fold the two front flaps forward towards the center making sure they meet in the middle directly under the peak. Repeat for all 4 squares. If you start with the smallest one, place the next tip inside the pocket of the previous one until all are assembled. Add a stem and a star.
Thanks for looking and come again!

9/11 Rememberance
Today is September 11th. I do remember that day in 2001. Our son was the first to see the news as it was happening. There was no time to shield him from such terrible news. He was the one who called it to our attention. It is such an important thing to remember. I want to remember and at the same time I don't want to remember. Remembering helps me to pray for all the families who lost loved ones by this act of terror. I am thankful for the diligent efforts of our leaders and military to protect us from further attacks. I will always remember 9/11.

Best Day Page
I've decided to use this Beau Chateau Product Suite for my parent's 60th Wedding Anniversary Celebration. I'm looking forward to implementing it for my invitations, decorations and party planning. The little blue flowers remind me of my mom's china. It is so beautiful.
