Here's a great project created by a great friend of mine and fellow Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Donna Lewis. She gave this to us for Halloween. Since it is my husband's birthday on Halloween, it is a fun time of year. My husband has great memories of growing up and celebrating his birthday on Halloween. Can you imagine having birthday cake and then going Trick or Treating!?! He's my "Treat" all through the year!
Here's a wonderful object lesson for you from the activity of "Carving the Pumpkin". My cousin's daughter and husband shared this with the youth in their church. I love this...
Carving the Pumpkin:
Step 1 - cut the top off and take out the
slimy insides -
God initiates and does
all the work in removing our sins and redeeming us with Christ's blood on the
cross (Romans 5:8, Ephesians 2:8-9)
Step 2 - carve a face or picture in the pumpkin -
God gives us a new heart, a new identity in Christ (Ezekial
36:26, 2 Corinthians 5:17)
Step 3 - put a candle in the jack-o-lantern -
God fills us with His Holy Spirit (Ephesians
1:13-14)
Thanks for visiting today!
