Stampin' Up Get Away to Hilton Head

Our vacation started in Lufkin, Texas where we stayed with my in-laws, Ray and Janet.  We had a wonderful time with them and had gorgeous weather.  Ray took us to Louisiana to visit the town of Natchitoches (Pronounced Nack-a-tish) along the Cane River.  We went to the replica of French Fort, St. Jean Baptiste, originally built in 1716.  We loved looking at the historic homes along the way.  Then we went to Charleston, South Carolina.  There we took the Harbour Tour of Charleston and Fort Sumter.  We also took a Carriage Ride through the streets of Charleston and toured the Yorktown Aircraft Carrier with the Congressional Medal of Honor Museum.  We also boarded the Destroyer USS Laffey and the USS Clamagore Submarine right there at Patriots Point.  We were taken in by the beauty of the setting and all the history they represented.

Our stay in Hilton Head was the main event.  We loved the beautiful Westin Resort, the South Beach Marina Village and the Shelter Cove Harbour.  Dave and I went bike riding and Dave golfed.  We ate at the Salty Dog at the South Beach Marina.  We had a wonderful dinner at the Chart House for our final evening on Hilton Head Island.  We had lots of fun meeting new people and sharing good times with Karen and Tom and Jeannine, Jared and Hayden.

Thank you Stampin' Up!  This getaway was a wonderful incentive trip.  We loved everything about it!
